Summer brings Warm Weather, Sunshine and BABIES at Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park!

With more than 600 species on display, there’s always new arrivals at Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park. We are excited to announce the birth of several new species including, the hatching of 2 Southern Bald Ibis chicks, one of the rarest bird species in the world!

Wildlife World is the only zoo in the country to have successfully raised this critically endangered bird in 2016. Further, Wildlife World is the only zoo in the country to currently have Southern Bald Ibis chicks. Wildlife World is working with the San Diego Wild Animal Park & the Southern Bald Ibis Species Survival Plan in order to keep the gene pool strong. Together, we can work to secure a promising future for not only the Southern Bald Ibis but for all wild animals and wild places alike.

Other animal births include Patagonian Cavies, Capybaras, an African Crested Porcupine, an African Blue Duiker, Javelinas, Warthogs, and some primate species including a Spider Monkey with other youngsters throughout the over 95-acre park.

Wildlife World’s keepers and veterinarians have raised dozens of species of wild and endangered animals over the past quarter century. At Wildlife World, we strive to maximize genetic diversity in the zoological population with our breeding programs. By the indoor exhibit’s very nature, the young animals on display change from week to week, month to month and season to season, so it’s always a surprise as to what babies you will get to see!
